Plenary Lunch – AHSIE Student Scholars Awards Ceremony
About the AHSIE Seed to Tree Student Scholarship
Established in 2013, this scholarship aims to recognize outstanding students attending HSIs for their academic achievements and leadership potential. The criteria for the scholarship is competitive and scored based on GPA, enrollment status, financial aid status, resume, personal statements, and letters of recommendation. Each student received complimentary travel to the 11th Annual AHSIE Best Practice Conference, lodging, complimentary conference registration, and a cash award.
All scholarship recipients will speak at the Lunch on Monday during the conference, where they will share more about their experiences as students at Hispanic Serving Institutions. The scholars will attend an all-day Student Institute, designed specifically for undergraduate and graduate students, to build a strong foundational set of academic, career, and life skills.
Additionally, they will continue to be mentored by members of the AHSIE Council and the Student Outreach and Leadership Development Committee.
To date, AHSIE has awarded twenty-two scholarships to students attending Hispanic-Serving Institutions.
